STORYLINE
Dozens of family members of people missing during the 1998-1999 Kosovo war put up photos of relatives outside a government building in Pristina on Saturday, urging authorities to do more in finding their family members, ahead of the International Day of the Disappeared.
Some 10-thousand ethnic Albanian died during the war. Hundreds of both Serbs and ethnic Albanians are still missing.
Abdullah Berisha, whose son disappeared in 1998, said he had lost hope his son would return alive.
Nysrete Kumnova, whose son is missing, said on Saturday that the photos were being put up for the third time since the end of the war in 1999.
"The issue is fading away the same way the photos are," Kumnova, who represents the families of missing ethnic Albanians, warned.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008.
The issue of the disappeared remains unsolved in the troubled relations between Serbs and ethnic Albanians.
