A huge accumulation of plastic now floats in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, between Hawaii and California – creating a hiuge environmental challenge that ABB digital technology is now being used to solve. Research yacht the Fantastiko, operated by the Dutch foundation By the Ocean we Unite (BTOWU), is using advanced solutions from ABB Ability™ to study, measure and report on this rising concentration of plastic in the ocean.
