Maxie walks in on Johnny and Lulu fighting, Lulu tries to make her leave, but Johnny ends up saying that Maxie is involved and tells Lulu how they kissed. Lulu is devastated, and they all start fighitng, leading to Johnny and Lulu breaking up. Johnny storms out, leaving Lulu and Maxie who fight. Lulu calls Maxie a lying slut and she treatens to tell Spinelli. Maxie finds Johnny on the docks and tries to convince him to take Lulu back. He says no and ends up kissing Maxie, just as Spinelli walks on the pier.
