One of the most popular stops for visitors to the park is Elephant Rock. Located just inside the east entrance to the park is this iconic sculpture composed of Aztec sandstone. Most take the short trail just off the parking lot, whereas the more energetic visitor with some extra time can take the other trail trail that circumnavigates the cluster of sandstone formations.
