CBS RADIO NEWS, 11 P.M. ET, JUNE 10, 1976
CBS Radio News reported by Jerry Landay (1929-2013). This was recorded from WCBS-AM (New York City). It is a portion of the hourly newscast covering the death of the founder of Paramount films, Adolph Zukor, who died on this day at the age of 103. Interestingly, Landay's script credits Zukor as creating 20th Century Fox. I can find no evidence of this. His studio was Paramount. This is followed by one of the spots heard on the network during the first half of the Bicentennial year of actor Howard Da Silva (1909-1986) portraying Ben Franklin. NOTE: Click on my "Playlists" and hear all the radio newscasts placed in chronological order. My Lowell Thomas reports are being placed in a separate playlist as time permits.
