FAQ about Natural Sciences at the University of Leicester – Should I be worried about the Maths?
“The thing about the maths is that it’s done so you can always attack it at your own pace. They have staggered hand in times, so you could hand in a V Zero which is if you’re really keen and know the maths you can hand it in before it’s due, that way you have a week without any hand ins.
You could hand in a standard V1 which is basically the set date they ask everyone to hand in the maths for, but even if you handed it in and it didn’t meet competency, which is the minimum level you need to score in order continue, you get a V2 which is the final version and that way you get to learn from your mistakes on the maths.
So in a sense you have 3 attempts to get it right, it’s challenging don’t get me wrong but you do have the time and the support to get through it”
