I brought the Anti-Materiel Rifle. Turns out, those bots are 100% Materiel.

New patch dropped today with some brand new toys! Will be trying stuff out later today, but I've got a couple of nice coop runs from yesterday that I'll be uploading first. This one sees a return to my beloved AMR, and boy does it feel good to be back.

Big props to Specter (S2), Echo-Four (E3), and Scottzi/Gramps (S4) - bringing that team coordination honed from hours of AFE makes these missions a breeze!

Build:

The AMR's 30% damage buff hasn't changed too many of its breakpoints for Bots, the biggest change is that Striders are now 2 shots to the top of the shield, or just 1 shot to the hip joint, which is very convenient. It's still a magnificent weapon though, even with the slightly wonky sights (at long distance, aim slightly down and to the right of your target), it's the easiest weapon to land those Hulk and Devastator headshots at long distance, and my favourite weapon for covering teammates from afar.

As I'm engaging enemies from long range, I decided to try out the Diligence Counter Sniper as well - while I'm still not entirely convinced, mostly due to its sluggish aim, I did notice the difference in more reliable one-shots to the body vs troopers, compared with the regular Diligence, especially at range. That medium armour penetration might also come in handy for builds lacking a support weapon to handle medium enemies, like Spear builds - but with the AMR, it feels like I'd get less use out of it.

For my strats, I'm bringing my usual picks of Eagle Airstrike (all-purpose), 500kg (Detector Towers, Fabricators and Hulks), and the Orbital Laser (base clearing, emergencies). The ammo backpack from Gramps also lets me hold further from the team for providing sniper cover without worrying about running out of ammo and use my regular grenades more liberally.

For my armour, I've gone with the Eradicator Armour - that combination of Recoil Reduction and Explosive Resistance makes it a perfect light armour for sniping Bots.
