Four Injured in a Car Ramming Attack in Central Israel, Suspect Shot Dead
Israeli authorities say that a suspected attacker rammed a car into a bus stop in central Israel on July 14, injuring four people. The suspect, believed to be from east Jerusalem, was shot by security forces. Central district Commander Avi Biton said, "A terrorist drove this vehicle here, a Toyota, and arrived and committed a ramming attack. To our great sorrow, he severely injured three and critically injured one other. I wish a quick recovery to the wounded here." Police are searching for potential accomplices. There has been a surge in violence in Israel since the start of its military campaign against Hamas in Gaza, following the October 7 attack on southern Israel.
