China's ruling communist party is set to hold a congress, where delegates will choose political leaders in what could be a government shake-up.
President Xi Jinping is expected to map out his ambitions for China and further tighten his grip on power.
The congress comes after a wide anti-corruption drive that has seen more than 1.4 million officials sacked and a major overhaul of the military.
