This is not an installation video but a sound test of a modified MBPR Pro Series system without a muffler canister on a Jeep V6 3.6L engine.
No Resonator.
No Muffler
Just a straight 2.5" pipe from the Cat back through to the rear.
The MBRP Pro system is a cat back full 304 Stainless steel 2.5" tube that includes a 19" muffler canister. I simply swapped out the MBRP muffler canister with a straight 2.5" stainless pipe that I originally cut to make the entire system fit on my 2 Door Wrangler.
The sound was aggressive and loud. I like the sound especially the low rumble at 1000 to 2000 RPM. It is a bit too loud for urban driving and I ended up putting the MBRP muffler back on. If there was only a way to keep the exhausts sounding exactly the same but about half as loud, it would be perfect.
I have tested several mufflers and found that depending on the design type of the muffler and baffles, not only the sound pressure (Volume) is suppressed but also the pitch and sound characteristics are different. Some muffler allow different frequency and resonance tone to be emphasized or muted and drastically can make the sound pleasant or annoying.
Here are the parts used:
