For the Navajo Nation the coronavirus pandemic, which hit the Nation especially hard, has complicated the already difficult task of accurately counting tribal members.
As with Arizona's Latino communities, an undercount on the Navajo Nation would impact funding and representation.
The Navajo Nation is pushing back against the U.S. Census Bureau after the Bureau announced it would be shortening the census deadline by 31 days.
