In the Anthropocene, exponential technologies such as electricity, computers and the internet have enabled humans to scale production, connection, cooperation, but also destruction. With environmental devastation, we are realizing that global mental (and physical) health is just as devastated, including in the wealthiest regions. To complicate things further, the feverish rise of AI is rapidly disrupting entire professions and the long term competitiveness of human beings.
Given this scenario, what can we still be optimistic about? Can we still consider this the most abundant and promising time in human history? How can modern technology be integrated with ancient tools, like meditation and psychedelics to increase our potential in a way that could benefit ourselves and the planet?
Join Dr Jack and his meandering mind in this presentation for an up-to-date assessment on where we are at and to learn strategies not to just weather the Anthropocene, but to thrive through it.
