Mok-yeon, Elon Musk has become the world's wealthiest person,... overtaking Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
This comes after Tesla's stock prices rose nearly five percent on Thursday,... bringing his net worth to around 1-hundred-88 billion dollars.
That put him ahead of Bezos, who's held the top position since 2017,... by 1-point-5 billion dollars.
Setting yet another milestone for himself,... Musk tweeted, “how strange” and “well, now back to work."
But it's not just the amount of money.
What's truly extraordinary,....is how fast he's made his way to the top spot.
Tesla's stock prices skyrocketed nearly 8-hundred percent in the past year.
Having a 20 percent stake in the electric carmaker,... has allowed his wealth to soar by more than 1-hundred-50 billion dollars.
It is possibly the fastest pace in history.
