Martha Orta Rodríguez, diputada del PRI, anunció que presentará ante el Congreso de su estado una iniciativa de ley que busca penalizar con una pena de dos a cuatro años de prisión y una multa de 300 a 400 salarios mínimos a quien difunda por internet imágenes “lesivas” o que “humillen” a alguien más, en otras palabras, busca castigar a quienes difundan memes.
Orta promociona su propuesta como una Ley Anti-Bullying, debido a que los memes se usan “para denigrar o lacerar la honra, la buena fe o simplemente exponer la vida de otras personas.”
