In these simulations, we were able to simulate the rolling manoeuvre of the XV-15 tiltrotor comparing the time need for the aircraft to reach a bank angle of 45°. From these simulations, we can evince that the presence of the rotor hurts the manoeuvre performance, due to its flapping motion.
All the analysis were performed by coupling the multibody code MBDyn and the mid-fidelity VPM code DUST through the coupling library preCICE
