How to adapt a new or used ECU to a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906 van. The procedure requires EZS password extraction, for which I am using the new ABRITES USB Infrared Adapter ZN076. It makes the procedure much faster than before!
First, to extract the EZS password, you have to connect the ZN076 to your laptop and the ZN051 Distribution Box to the vehicle. Connect the ZN076 to the USB port of your laptop, then connect the ZN051 to the van's K-Line using the fuse-relay and K-Line cables. Get to the fuse box, remove the shown fuse and connect the fuse-relay cable, then connect the K-Line cable to the correct spot on the ESL connector of the van. Go to the DAS Manager in the Mercedes-Benz software menu, place the ZN076 in the ignition, and get the EZS password.
After that, read and save the FBS and coding data, because they will be used to personalise the new (or second-hand) ECU.
Once you read the EZS password and save the important data, replace the old ECU with a new or a used one. The next steps are simple: Virginise the ECU, Personalise it using the saved FBS and coding data, then Activate it. That's all!
