Today, we have a full evidentiary hearing with a couple where the husband has cheated and now they
are getting a divorce. He has agreed to all of her terms with the parenting plan but he doesn’t agree with
her financial requests. He’s been ignoring all of Mom’s lawyer’s attempts to mediate an agreement
so now the judge will decide.
In addition to the child support for their son, she has requested he pay her alimony, for a set period of
time, in order to help pay his portion of the joint household credit card debt that Mom has been left
with. Alimony is also on the table in the case of infidelity in Georgia.
Dad not only objects to paying alimony, saying he can’t afford it, but he also objects that Mom’s
lawyer has included the income from his catering business in the calculation. He also says the amount
of income the lawyer says he’s earned from the business is way too high, but will he be able to give
the judge a believable explanation for the large monthly deposits into his business account or will the
judge find his excuses to be nothing but lies?
Let’s watch...
