The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of mental health and increased people’s awareness. Countries faced many challenges when trying to meet increased demand for mental health services. However, the pandemic has also been a catalyst for systemic changes including a shift to remote consultations, increased investments in specialized mental health services, and efforts to improve mental health literacy.
