On June 2, voters will head to the polls to determine the successor of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, also known as AMLO. Whichever woman wins — the ruling party’s candidate Claudia Sheinbaum or opposition candidate Xochitl Galvez — will then look to continue the country’s ascent on the global stage.
