Modern artist are always on the lookout for new materials and techniques for their new projects and installations, especially if these materials have certain emotional coloring, for example the nostalgic emotions, brought up by old cassette tapes.
Such idea was practically realized by Erika Iris Simmons, an artist from Atlanta, USA. Without using any paint or pigments Erika carefully places tapes from old cassettes to make up whimsical installations and portraits of well-known musicians, movie stars and representations of the scientific world.
The usage of such unusual material definitely makes the works of Erika Iris Simmons stand out but if you would like to see what other materials are being used in modern art installations, please check out this video presentation: [ Ссылка ]
