BEAUMONT - By Leslie Rangel\nMost people in the Golden Triangle know about Gator Country and now it's gotten the attention of the popular reality show "Swamp People" possibly meaning more business for Southeast Texas. Casting directors for Swamp People caught up with Gary and Jana Saurage, owners of Gator Country to see if they were good candidates for the show. Marc Levine, casting director for Swamp People, is confident there are good characters other than in Louisiana. "There's plenty here as well so we're looking for some new characters, new personalities." Levine said. The Saurages know there could come many benefits from being cast on the popular cable show. "By having these guys on the show, it's going to bring more people to hotels in Beaumont, it's going to bring more people to my park here at Gator Country," says Gary Saurage co-owner of Gator Country. If they don't get cast on the show, Saurage and his wife still have alligator preservation as top priority. "For me this is my normal daily routine to have that on TV and show people not only the hunting aspect but what we go through rescuing them is what I'm excited about." Jana Saurage said.
