Now that Christmas is over, I have a few Christmas gift videos for you. In this case the 4-1 spiral chain (each ring go through 4 others). It is an easy chain to make, but I often return to it because it is light and have two appearances. The one I show here is made from ring of 0.8 mm wire rolled on a 6 mm rod.
There are many variations on it and I have included a link in the description for a site about chain making. The 4 in 1 naming comes from each ring going through 4 adjacent rings.
I find paste very useful for chain making, but you could use borax and pallets.
After soldering all the links, the chain is stained with oxide and flux, but the pickle spider will take care of that.

Add a wire to the rings. This will make the chain easier to handle, especially in the beginning.
Add a third ring through the two previous rings.
The following rings go through the two previous rings following in the same direction as one three rings back.
Add at least one unsoldered ring for safety and a lock.
Thank you for watching!
