Git and Github are two terms which are very confusing and causes issues.
It is better we understand the difference now and make ourself clear.

3) No internet connection required.
4) It is a command line tool.
5) It provides functionalities like Version Control System, Source Code Management.
GitHub:
1) GitHub is designed as a Git repository hosting service.
2) Github is exclusively Cloud based.
3) Code sharing is easy.
4) It provides a graphical interface.
5) In addition to Git features Github provides many other features.
