Part II of our Japan trip included trips to Kyoto and Osaka. We spent our first night in Kyoto in a traditional ryokan, before moving up the road to the Sanjo ward where we explored all the little riverside lanes of Kyoto. Trips to the famous red-gated Fushimi Inari shrine and the Arashiyama bamboo forest highlighted our time in the city, which was definitely a highlight of the trip.

By the time we got to Osaka we were pretty keen just to chill and watch Netflix (is that bad to say in a travel vlog?). But we still managed to explore Dotonbori at night, ride the terrifying Don Quijote Ferris wheel and do a day trip to visit the bowing deer of Nara. Yeah, you heard me - BOWING DEER!
