The national police service Inspector General Nominee Japhet Koome has been vetted by the joint parliamentary committee on administration and internal affairs. Koome faced tough questions touching on human rights, the war on cattle rustlers, graft and the welfare of officers within police ranks.
The career police officer with a working experience of 32 years promised to operationalised the much postponed coroner’s office that will see cases of mysterious deaths investigated to conclusion.
