The Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh says the situation is horrible and many civilians have already been killed and injured. Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan says, "The operation started from the morning and has not stopped yet. People realize this is part of the situation of [the] Azerbaijan government from the first day. They put us in blockade ten months and now they are putting us in a situation where we all need to fight or die for our own homeland." At least 2 civilians were killed and 23 were wounded after Azerbaijan launched an "anti-terrorist" operation on the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Officials in the majority Christian area reported heavy artillery fire and worry that this could once again escalate into a full-scale war. President and Founder of the Philos Project, Robert Nicholson, joins to tell us more about these military strikes from Azerbaijan and why they are escalating now, around 10 months after the blockade began. Nicholson discusses whether there has been any response from the global community speaking out against these strikes and whether world leaders have said anything. There are already concerns on the humanitarian situation for the Armenian Christians and now the escalation of military attacks. Nicholson shares what the end game is here and where he sees this going.
