I admit that as well my wireless Sennheisser sr-165 and wired Sennheiser HD-25-13 II didn't came as new items from the shop. The sr-165 I bought for 65 euro second hand(new price 160) and the HD-25 II i got for free(new price 170) when I bought that Main/Pre luxman combination M-383/C-383. Probably the guy knew I paid to much and felt guilty, giving me the HD-25-13 II for free. The last headphones I bought in the shop where 2 Philips SHD8600 with the 2.4 khz kleer technology, the same technology used in the Sennheiser SR-165. The wireless SR-165 do a excellent job here, I only use it for watching video's/series/movies and editing my video's. I almost never use headphones for listening music. I did of course test both sennheiser headphones for their sound quality when playing music. Both these Sennheisers didn't convinced me to be my taste. I just don't like both these headphones for my music. I preferred my old philips SHD8600 for music. When I bought my first Philips SHD8600 it costed 65 euro in the shop, today they give it another name and another color and ask 120 euro. That's the reason why I will never buy a third one. In between time i did review a cheap 9 euro headphone test from my local supermarket. Bought that one because the specs on the box were promising but the sound was just terrible and I took my money back......I never knew that Marshall made headphones until I saw them in Simon's house. I only like wireless headphones for several reasons. I am not really convinced of Bluetooth headphones even if they are Bluetooth aptX. I prefer 100% lossless quality and the only technology today on the market what is lossless is kleer technology. Kleer technology, used by Sennheiser and more brands has the ability to stream wireless, and it operates in a number of ranges such as 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. it is competent enough to stream 16-bit audio/ 44.1 KHz lossless. Unfortunately Marshall make only wireless bluetooth aptX headphones but the drivers in the wired Major II sounds better as the Sennheisers and my old philips headphones. I never use a headphone outside my house, the only places I would use a wired headphone on my phone/laptop is the hospital ore airplane(public transportation). My situation is of course different as other users, there are plenty people who use wired headphones on their laptop ore phones. If you don't mind the little loss in sound a Marshall Bluetooth will sound good if they use the same drivers as in the Major II. 16bit/44khz over Bluetooth atpx is possible but both devices should have the atpx possibility and that's not always the case.
