Thanks to the trickle down effect, most of the technology found in Shimano's XTR 1x11 release has found its way down to the SLX 1x11 groupset. Even if you find XTR stuff on discount, it'll still be a hit to your budget. In order to get the most bang for your buck, you'll need to mix and match components from Shimano's lower level groups.
