Globally, ovarian cancer is diagnosed in an estimated 300,000 women each year—and another 570,000 are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 382,000 with uterine (endometrial) cancer. While significant advances have been made in surgical and chemo-based treatments for ovarian cancer, the survival rates have only modestly improved.
