The score featured in this video is from 'Deliciæ Musicæ', with some editing on the repeated sections. The second and third verses were published as text only.
The name of the composer is not mentioned in 'Deliciæ Musicæ'. The song is attributed to Henry Purcell in a single-sheet edition of circa 1695-1700. In a manuscript 'dating from about 1705, a keyboard version is attributed to 'Mr Cla-', probably Jeremiah Clarke, though this may mean simply that he arranged it' (Curtis Price: 'Henry Purcell and the London Stage').
