The Easiform system, developed by John Laing plc, uses cast-in-situ concrete construction. Starting in 1919, about 5,000 houses were built before WWII, and 85,000 more from 1946 to the early 1970s.

**Features and Variations:**
- Adaptable design for various accommodations
- Over 25 types, including houses, flats, and maisonettes with different architectural options
- Robust structure with cast-in-situ walls

**Construction Phases:**
1. **1919 to mid-1920s:** Solid 8-inch thick clinker concrete walls (approx. 2,100 houses)
2. **Mid-1920s to 1945:** Cavity walls with outer dense gravel aggregate and inner clinker aggregate concrete, connected by wall ties
3. **Post-1945:** Thicker, reinforced walls with materials like limestone quarry waste or Lytag

**Structural Details:**
- Floor and roof loads supported by the inner skin of the external walls
- Outer walls with stone-dashed render
- Timber joist/board floors with bituminous felt-wrapped joist ends
- Cavity construction for party walls

Easiform houses are known for their durability and structural stability.
