All New 2025 Kia Telluride: Review - Price - Interior And Exterior Redesign
Time has gone since the 2020 MotorTrend SUV of the Year was announced, but the Telluride, a large Kia, is still a formidable rival in the three-row SUV market. The attractive shape has held up well since the model's introduction, and thanks to updates made by Kia, the family hauler is now competitive with the top SUVs on the market. Some of the best features are the roomy and well-built cabin and the smooth ride. The Telluride's off-road prowess and road presence are both enhanced with the optional SX X-Pro grade.
In our Ultimate Car Rankings, the Kia is ranked first for its class, but a few drawbacks prevent it from being crowned champion. The Telluride is available with a single engine option, a V-6, and it gets average gas mileage. The folding mechanism is not always user-friendly, and the third-row seating is not suitable due to its tightness.
We are nevertheless quite enthusiastic about the Telluride despite these flaws. The Hyundai Palisade and the Telluride were the runner-ups in a seven-way comparison test. We do not anticipate the Telluride having any trouble retaining its lofty place in our rankings in 2025, even if Kia makes no changes at all.
We don't anticipate any changes to the 2025 Kia Telluride's mechanics; we expect the three-row SUV will retain its single engine. A 3.8-liter V-6 engine with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, along with an eight-speed automatic transmission, is anticipated to be standard on all versions. All-wheel drive is an optional extra, but front-wheel drive is the default. We timed the redesigned Kia Telluride X-Line at 6.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. That same task takes just seven seconds on the off-road X-Pro variant.
For the year 2025, Kia is planning to keep their Drive Wise safety package. As standard equipment, you can expect features like blind-spot recognition, lane keeping and following help, safe exit aid, rear parking sensors, driver attention warning, Highway Driving help, and sensor assisted rear occupant alert.
For 2025, the Kia Telluride is likely to keep its inside space largely unchanged, keeping it among the more roomy three-row SUVs. As is common for this class, the third row is on the cramped side, but the back seats are still functional. Look no further than the Carnival minivan if you're in the market for Kia's roomiest vehicle.
