Dr. Steven Phelps is a philosopher and scholar (Ph.D. in cosmology from Princeton, bachelors in philosophy and physics from Stanford), and in this series presents new ways of looking at the age-old concepts of God, spirit, religion, and revelation. He examines the competing world views that lie behind the present conflict between science and religion and offer insights from modern science on the nature of ultimate reality.
In this third lecture in the series, he discusses the nature of the spirit as being fundamentally connected to the material realm. Are humans unique in having a spirit? How are the spirit and body related?
