Royal Enfield has announced the launch of the 2023 Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in the Indian market. The 2023 models get the much-awaited alloy wheels and new colour themes. Royal Enfield has updated the colour palette for 2023 and the Interceptor 650 will be available in four paint themes. These will include two blacked-out variants (Black Ray and Barcelona Blue), a new custom dual colourway (Black Pearl), and a solid colourway (Cali Green). These new paint options join the existing themes that comprise – Mark 2, Sunset Strip, and Canyon Red. Meanwhile, the Continental GT 650 will be available in two new blacked-out versions (Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey) that will be sold alongside the Mr Clean, Dux Deluxe, British Racing Green, and Rocker Red paint themes. The new blacked-out variants will feature blacked-out engine and exhaust parts. Apart from revising the colour palette, Royal Enfield has also added the much-awaited cast alloy wheels to its 650cc motorcycles. These will be shod in tubeless tyres and come as standard on the blacked-out variants of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The company further added that all new colourways will come with functional and ergonomic features like enhanced seat comfort, new switchgear, a USB charging port, and an all-new LED headlamp. Meanwhile, the safety net, similar to the previous model, includes dual-channel ABS. The mechanical specifications remain unchanged and the 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 retain the 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled motor. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine is tuned to deliver 47bhp at 7,150rpm and 52Nm at 5,250rpm. The 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is available from Rs. 3,03,000 while the Continental GT 650 has been priced from Rs. 3,19,000 onwards. The bookings for these motorcycles have commenced across the country.
