A seagull was seen stealthily hovering over an unsuspecting woman in Etretat, France, before swooping in and stealing a bite of her ice cream.
Video recorded by Fernando Bueno on August 6 shows the seagull’s sneaky heist, as the bird successfully snatches a bite from out of the woman’s hand and escapes.
“The woman didn’t notice at first what happened,” Bueno told Storyful, as someone else had to point out the seagull flying above her.
Bueno added that he was ready to capture this moment as he had watched the seagull unsuccessfully attempt to steal food from other people.
“It’s a hot day and ice cream is always delicious, even for a smart seagull,” Bueno said.
