The Arctic is one of the most extreme climates on Earth. Here, the temperature is always below 0 degrees Celsius, there are almost no trees, the night lasts up to 6 months a year and the sun only rises once a year.
As harsh as it is, however, the Arctic is home to countless animals, ranging from size to small. And standing at the top of the food chain there is the polar bear.
They are the largest and most ferocious bears, but their swimming skills and hunting ability make other carnivores respect. Living in harsh natural conditions, they have had to completely adapt to the environment.
To survive, they can eat anything that can be eaten, from nuts, roots and even rotten meat. The decaying giant whale carcass also became a nutritious food source for many animals there. Helps to add substances to them to withstand extreme weather
