The outbreak of the Spanish Civil War saw too the outbreak of Western Europe's largest socialist revolution. Workers across Republican territory, particularly in Catalonia and Aragon, seized workplaces, collectivised agriculture, and transformed the social and economic fabric of Spanish society. This video catalogues the rise of the revolution, and the factors that worked to ultimately undermine and crush it.
