Sustainability and finance are topics that were worth discussing long before 2021. Whereas, in combination Sustainable Finance must be a topic discussed when looking at New Beginnings from 2021 onward. Financing the future establishes investment-decisions into the financial sector that are shaped by environmental, social and governance considerations. The goal of sustainable finance in the future is to promote an increase into longer-term investments into sustainable economic activities and projects. They bear several important aspects of our generation with them and it is time to discuss such aspects whilst finding European Markets in transition. To guarantee perfect conditions to discuss Sustainable Finance, we have invited experts in the financial, political as well as economic sector. They joined us for our panel discussion on Sustainable Finance within the 20th German Symposium on Thursday, February 4th, at 15:00GMT/16:00CET.
Werner Hoyer is the president of the European Investment Bank and also a German politician of the FDP party. He can illustrate what one has to know in such a diverse and complex field as investing.
Ralph Brinkhaus is the Chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group and knows how the legislative works and tackles such a prominent topic as sustainable finance.
Last but not least, we welcome Markus Steilemann to join the discussion. As the CEO of Covestro AG, a plastic manufacturer, he can share the experience within an industry influenced by sustainable finance.
