This video shows how to make jar lids for mushroom cultivation. The lids consist of a rubber self-healing injection port and a syringe filter. They can be used for liquid culture, grain spawn, BRF cakes, no pour agar jars, etc. The lids are easy to make, reusable, and make the inoculation of grains or liquid cultures very easy. At the end of the video, I mention some alternative materials such as synthetic filter discs, micropore tape, cotton balls, polyfill stuffing, and using high-temperature silicone to make the injection ports. Some of these options may be better or worse than others. The benefit to some of the materials is that they are easy to get or are cheap.
