Today I'm going to be giving my honest and extensive review of Nord VPN, we'll be doing speed test and taking a look at the user interface to see how it all works. NordVPN Review. That one of the biggest names in the industry right now. So let's jump into it and see what all the fuss is about. NordVPN Review. So the downloading process was definitely an easy one. It was a simple case of creating an account on the Nord website, downloading the application, which took literally just a few clicks, and then signing in. Straight away, I'm introduced to this new feature called cyber sec, it protects from intrusive ads, malware, phishing attempts, and other threats. Basically, it's going to try and stop those annoying pop ups and give you some of the basic protection which you get with a normal antivirus software. So we're into the main screen, and the first thing I noticed is the sheer amount of locations which allows you to connect from in the top corner, there's an advert for their mobile version, so make sure you hit subscribe if you don't want to miss the separate video that I'll be doing on that. So at the top of this menu on the left, we have some options for some speciality servers, the first one being dedicated IP, I'll make another video where I talk in detail on these servers. But in basic terms, a dedicated IP means you have your own IP address rather than sharing one with everybody else on that server. A double VPN gives you twice as much encryption, what it will do is it will connect you to the VPN like usual, but then rather than going straight onto the internet from there, it will then connect you to a second VPN before getting you online. NordVPN Review. Onion over VPN will allow you to connect to the super secure on your network without using a dedicated browser. p2p stands for peer to peer. And it's there for when you want to download movies or torrents or things like that on a peer to peer network. So down the bottom here, we have a quick connect function, this is just going to connect you to the fastest server they have available at that time. But you're not going to get to choose which location you're browsing from. NordVPN Review. The layout of the settings menu seems nice and simple to in the general section, you're just going to find things like whether you want node to start up when you turn on your computer. And whether you want notifications to pop up and things like that. The auto Connect section is basically going to give you options as to when you want nor to automatically connect to their networks, rather than having to manually do it yourself every single time. And then this next section, Nord makes use of a kill switch, which is a great feature, especially if you're torrenting or doing something where you can't risk being on an unsecure server even for a small amount of time. What it does is if your VPN connection drops for whatever reason, it will completely cut off your internet connection, so you don't risk being online until the secure VPN picks back up......Ran out of the 5k characters limit, sorry guys.
