If your camera has an external mic jack, it’s always a good idea to put it to use! But there’s more to it than simply plugging in a mic. Let’s take a look at how to adjust a few settings to rely more on your microphone than your camera to deliver great audio (after all, capturing good audio the main job of a microphone, while a camera is designed to do hundreds of different things).
