Dr. Mohamad AlKhouli, Director of Structural Heart Interventions at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WVA, shares results of his study appearing in the June 2019 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings, which found that, in a survey, patients who had atrial fibrillation and were using anticoagulants, overestimated their future risk of stroke and bleeding.
