(15 Feb 2017) About 500 demonstrators clashed with police in a Paris suburb of Barbes on Wednesday night.
The demonstrators were protesting against police violence following an incident two weeks ago in which an officer allegedly sodomised a young black man.
The protesters carrying banners and flares were seen throwing objects at police officers who responded with teargas.
The reported sexual attack has prompted violent protests in minority neighbourhoods over the past two weeks.
