New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): The Special Cell of Delhi Police has unearthed an illegal fire arms manufacturing unit based in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. Two key members of interstate illegal arms supply syndicate namely Sanjeev and Noor Hasan were arrested. 60 semi-automatic pistols have been recovered along with some unfinished firearms and machinery which was being used in the preparation of these illegal firearms. Acting upon a secret tip-off regarding the illegal arms trafficker, the sleuths of Special Cell apprehended one Sanjeev from Haiderpur in Delhi, where he had come to supply the consignment of illegal weapons to one of his Delhi-based contacts. During interrogation, accused Sanjeev disclosed the illegal arms supply syndicate. In pursuance of his disclosure, a raid was conducted in Meerut where illegal weapons were being manufactured and another accused Noor Hasan was arrested.
