Feels nice to go back to a game that sprouted my very first suite all the way back then. The Cleric Beast was a very intimidating and threatening start to the game, and the lore implications of it's origin and how Laurence himself became one are horrific as much as they are pitiful. The theme for the Cleric Beast is instantly memorable, with a shrill, Latin choir chanting alongside harsh strings and an overall boisterous and fittingly dark orchestra. For Laurence's theme, an organ is brought into the fray, but halfway through his theme becomes something far grander, darker, and sadder, as if his days of glory and power have outlived him as he remains in this tortured, corrupted form.
