When I started this blog I vowed to not buy or short any shares of MoviePass (HMNY).
The reasoning was that I wanted to establish myself as an unbiased neutral analyst covering the company.
To this point (about five months), I have held true to that vow.
However, two things have changed over the last five months:
1) The credibility I’ve gained from holding no position has not been high among many bulls. Many people think if your view is different than theirs, you must be a bad operator. As a result, I have sacrificed capital gains, but haven't gotten much back for that sacrifice.
2) I have updated my model... and it tells me that I can make money (at least over the next month), by taking a position now.
