There are plenty of positives to using a 6" diameter Dado Set, however you can really effectively use a 3/4" cross cut sled with it. It doesn't give you enough height above the sled's surface.
So, after learning this lesson the hard way, I thought I would publish a video explaining my experience and maybe you will find it useful.

1. Set the height of the blade about 1/32 inch higher than the material
2. Cut jig spacer key .004 inch smaller than the opening.
3. Cut key to about 1/32 inch smaller than the height of the hole so it doesn’t rock
4. Fingers should be ~.006 smaller than the opening, to adjust for smooth fit and glue.
