Hello! In this video I show you how to make the Ohio Star Quilt Block. I make a 12-inch block here. It’s a simple 9-patch that starts with 4 quarter square triangles or hourglass blocks.
It’s a beautiful block because of its simplicity. You can make an entire quilt out of these blocks, or use the block for interest and accents. Choose your favorite colors or use your scrap fabric and give this block a try.
I also show you how to use fabric glue to accurately match up your seams. I use a glue stick product from Sewline.
I also show you and explain the advantage of sewing this block together using a “scant” quarter-inch seam allowance.
