IITM Incubation Cell launched “Build To Innovate” Challenge in early March, tailored exclusively for students across our Partner Institutes. In its first edition, the focus was on challenges within the #Rural and #Agriculture space.
The Second Semi-final was conducted on 18 April in #Madurai (at Thiagarajar College of Engineering).
15 shortlisted student teams from the following partner institutes presented before a jury (Dhanaganapathy Madhavan - Samunnati, Nanu Swamy - Maxelerator Foundation and Pragadhish C) and demonstrated their prototypes (under the two challenges - Agri machinery and IoT in Rural areas):
1. Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering & Technology - Karaikudi
2. M.A.M. College of Engineering and Techology, Trichy
3. PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul
4. Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai
Semi-finalists were recognised for their participation and efforts with a certificate from #IITMIC. Some students shared their prototyping experiences and queries were clarified by the jury members.
The 4 winning teams from this cluster, and 1 team as #IITMIC choice, will now participate in the Finals, scheduled during the last week of June at IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), Chennai.
