Hi guys and welcome to my channel. We are officially in Spring here in Melbourne but in the last few days we have had a cold snap...so back to wearing sweaters.
The cold weather has got me thinking about your favourite sweater patterns and specifically whether you prefer to construct yours yoke down vs bottoms ups.
Checkout this video and I explain to you why I prefer yoke down sweater constructions. Plus I will share with you my tips if you are a beginner and never made a yoke down sweater.
My tips include:
1. How to put stitches into waste yarn
2. How to pick up stitches to continue making sleeves
3. My favourite stretchy cast off method
The sweaters I talk about:
Bottom's up
The Casagrande sweater by River road knis
The Holiday Sweater by Ashleigh Kiser from @sewerella
Yoke down
The Panglossian and Lady Fingers sweater by Morgan from @morthunder
The Flax light sweater by TincanKnits
The tecsumeh sweater by BoylandKnitworks
What is your favourite way of making a sweater? Favourite Pattern?
